This bar graph shows that the mean number of school hours lost per 100 school-aged children with missed hours who were 5-7 years old was 350, 310 among those 8-12 years old, and 350 among those 13-17 years old. The mean number of hours missed was 320 for whites and 310 for blacks. It was 320 for non-Hispanics as compared to 430 for Hispanics; 280 for males as compared to 370 for females; and 390 for those with family incomes of less than $10,000, 480 for those with family incomes of $10,000- $19,999, 380 for those with family incomes of $20,000-$34,999, and 260 for those with family incomes of $35,000
