This bar graph shows that the mean number of school hours lost per 100 school aged children was 68 for those aged 5-7, 112 for those aged 8-12, and 156 for those aged 13-17. The mean number of school hours lost was 125 for whites and 59 for blacks; 120 for non-Hispanics and 100 for Hispanics; 82 for males as compared with 155 for females; 86 for those with family incomes less than $10,000, 135 for those with family incomes of $10,000- $19,999, 113 for those with family incomes of $20,000-$34,999, and 132 for those with family incomes of $35,000 or more.
